Anxiety Isn’t What You’ve Been Told!
Hello my sweet starlings,
Let’s take a moment to exhale... ahhhhh... Good. Now drop back into your body and move your awareness into your heart space that knows you are more than the labels you've been given.
Today, I want to speak to those of you who’ve been told you have anxiety. Maybe you’ve been medicated, therapised, diagnosed, even pathologised and yet, with all theses well intentioned treatments and suggestions, nothing seems to work.
If you’ve ever thought “There has to be more to this than chemicals and psychology sessions,” then this blog is for you.
Anxiety, as we all have been taught to understand it, is missing something essential. And that something… is ENERGY.
The Mainstream View of Anxiety
In the conventional psychological model, anxiety is considered a mental health disorder characterised by excessive worry, overthinking, physical restlessness, increased heart rate, and a general feeling of dread or panic. It’s often linked to past trauma, genetics, brain chemistry, chronic stress and behavioural conditioning.
Treatments commonly include:
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Exposure therapy
Relaxation techniques and mindfulness
Medication such as SSRIs or beta blockers
These approaches are mind-based and brain-focused, assuming that anxiety begins in the head and must be treated from the head down.

But what if anxiety doesn’t start in the mind at all?
In my practice, I have witnessed something radically different. Anxiety is not a mental problem. It is an energetic signal.
So let me tell you that there is nothing wrong with you. Quite the contrary. There is a lot 'right' with you. You are not broken. You are tuning in.
When we shift from a mind-based model to an energy-based understanding, something powerful happens: we begin to see anxiety not as an ill-ness, but as a gift, an ability. "Wait, what? A gift, and ability?" I hear you protest. Please stick with me. It'll make sense in a moment....
Quantum science has shown us that everything is energy. Every cell in your body, every thought, every sound, every emotion. Everything vibrates at a specific frequency. We are walking, breathing fields of electromagnetic energy in constant exchange with our environment.
So YOU, dear one, are a receiver.
You are picking up information, emotional energy, environmental frequencies, planetary shifts, even the moods and traumas of others, all the time. And this is where the true understanding of anxiety begins.
For highly sensitive souls, empaths, and those awakening to their spiritual nature, anxiety is rarely a personal defect. It’s not even always personal. What we often call anxiety is more accurately described as energetic overload, your system is simply taking in more vibrational data than it knows how to process.
The problem isn’t you, it’s the absence of a shared language or framework to help you understand what’s actually happening.
Here’s what I mean: When your energy field comes into contact with someone else’s unresolved fear, grief, or trauma, your nervous system picks up those frequencies. But your brain, which is designed to decode signals based on past experiences, doesn’t say, “Oh this is someone else’s fear.” It says, “I recognise fear.”
Your brain doesn’t know how to differentiate between self and others when it comes to vibrational input. It simply identifies frequencies and attaches meaning according to your previous memories, patterns, or traumas.
So that sudden spike in anxiety in a crowd, before a phone call, or walking into a particular space? It is rarely yours. But your brain thinks it is yours and now you’re reacting to a story that was never even about you.
The Quantum View of Anxiety
From the quantum perspective:
You are not a body with energy. You are energy with a body.
Everything is interconnected through the quantum field.
Your thoughts, feelings, and sensations are patterns of energy that are constantly shifting.
You are constantly entangled with the vibrations of others, family members, friends, even global events.
The sensation of anxiety, then, is simply your system’s way of saying, “There’s too much data and I don’t know how to sort it.”
And so we need to pause. We need to learn to clear. We need to create spaciousness. We need to retrain the nervous system not just to calm down, but to discern.
Dear Starling, you are not anxious. You are awake.
If you’ve always felt too much, sensed too much, or struggled to explain why your body reacts when nothing “bad” is happening… welcome to the awakened ones.
Next time anxiety rises, I invite you to get curious. Ask:
Is this even mine?
What am I picking up on in my environment?
What does my energy field read right now?
What would my inner child need to feel safe in this moment?
Healing anxiety doesn’t come from fixing the mind. It comes from learning the language of energy, which will help your mind and body to feel safe. To feel grounded. To listen. To discern. And to reconnect with your heart, which is your true compass, not your anxious thoughts.
You were never meant to fit into a system that doesn't understand energy. And I want you to know this: your sensitivity is not a weakness. It is your superpower.
But like any power, it needs training. It needs guidance. It needs honouring. In my 8-week healing programs, we work deeply with your nervous system, your energy body, your higher self and your inner child to decode and release what you’ve been carrying, often what was never yours to hold in the first place. Inner child healing, in particular, is where much of this energy first became imprinted in your system. When you return to Source and your soul's truth, everything changes.
